Brooklyn Woman

I tried to sketch my daughter yesterday but she wouldn’t sit still. I like that I’m taking my sketchbook with me now. It helps!

I had a little trouble with the arm. Went over it in white gouache and redrew.

I can relate…I try to draw people I’m watching on TV (like Jeopardy contestants or people in movies) and because I’m watching with my family, we never hit pause so I have to draw them quickly, trying to catch whatever feature of them that I can. πŸ™‚ I need to remember to take my sketchbook out and about, too. I think your portrait of your daughter is fun and spontaneous looking!

I hope she’s blue, and not “blue” lol! I’m glad she let you draw her! Nice job.
