Odd Duck

Inspired by Kerfe and Kirk I’m joining in on Bird Day. Found the Merganser duck the likes of which I’ve never seen. I made his head a little too big but it is pretty darn big.

Here is the photo of this little oddball.

Is that orange spot the eye, or the faint black one? Or is it like a flounder? Great job, Nina!

Wonderful painting Nina :-). I think his head may be just big enough. Very cool looking ducks. I haven’t seen them often. Always fun to see their big heads!

Really nice! The Hooded Merganser is one of my favorite common waterfowl, surpassed only by the Bufflehead (well, it’s really a tie in my book). Love!
