Cats know how to take it easy.

They have a knack for changing their relaxation posture just after you’ve put a few lines down on the paper though.

Sometimes meditation is good.

But every once in awhile a cat needs to be on alert and keep an eye out for squirrels or other cats.

Have a relaxing Thanksgiving with family and friends!  And by all means, have that extra helping of your favorite food.

So joyful, and more “true” than the dark photos I was trying to take of my kitten last night (one-handed, because she was relaxing on me!).

Wow! Love these drawings! Wish I could draw cats even a tenth as well as these. 😉 You’ve captured “vastness” to a T. Happy Thanksgiving — and let’s all relax, cats, dogs and humans all!

Trying to be more expressive in my linework and would love any book recommendations on how to loosen up my lines like this! Man, these are fabulous. Not sure how to even start…these are beautiful and the shapes are so right on also. Have you been drawing cats forever, or does this just come naturally? I’m always trying to get too much detail but would love to learn how to be free and let it flow. Would love suggestions from either or both of you! Thanks.
