March: Forgotten Coin

forgotten coin
–Jackie Hardy

Once again, I fail to find out much about the poet…”one of Britain’s foremost haiku poets” is about all I could discover about Jackie Hardy online.  “Haiku:  Poetry Ancient and Modern“, the book she edited where I found this haiku, provides a bit more information:  she lives in, and is inspired by, rural Northumberland, and is a teacher of literature and creative writing.  This beautiful little book has a clear and informative introduction , as well as an interesting cross-section of poems and accompanying Asian art.

penny s

Here’s hoping that’s a lucky penny in your pocket…with plenty of good thoughts to accompany it.

Omg this is brilliant! It immediately made me think of someone on the political scene……grabbing all the (free publicity) headlines. Wonderful!
