It’s been almost a year (April 8 is the “official” Draw-a-Bird Day) and you two and Laura have really done a great job keeping this thing going… and growing it. Wonderful! And thank you for your enthusiasm.

I think WP just took its mighty phaser gun to my comment. So, I apologize if you see it 2x. Thanks so much to you both for doing this. I know how much time and effort it takes! It means a lot to me that you two took this on and it really is growing. I hope for April 8, which is the official DABD holiday, we can do a big push and really try and get the word out! lol, since we kinda missed it last year. Thanks again to M R Emberson at A Wing and a Way too! Yay for Draw A Bird Day! 😀

Your compilation is so much cooler than mine! I rarely (never) have a good write-up to go with it. 🙂 Thanks for this! Can’t wait to check out all the sites that I haven’t seen it when I have wifi.

Kerfe and Nina, you all have assembled quite a “flock”! Of course, April 8th will be coming up soon. I’m planning to do another post on the annual Draw a Bird Day, but this time will include info about and links to your site and Laura’s. I hope you all have a wonderful week. Best regards, Michael

Laura at Create Art Everyday started it, but she’s been busy so she passed it on to us for awhile. It’s fun to see everyone’s interpretations and what birds they choose.

Thanks for following my blog. I am mostly dormant now, but a quick archive visit will find mostly poetry. Peace, but when? Doug Nice Bird Idea here.

If I could draw a bird, without a doubt, it would be an owl. We were privileged to have a very young one as a visitor last year. I wrote a poem and posted it with his photo. We called the rescue people for birds of prey and they said if it was left where we found it the family would return for it and they did. There is a large owl population across the river from my home so if we are lucky… perhaps more sightings.
