Light Shift Anew

misted-air-s

air misted with light
transparent, a shift
blurred softly, anew

silences weep, anew
cloudbursts reveal light
displaced as words shift,

as disguises shift,
multiplied anew
transitions of light–

light weightless shift expanding tears overflow anew

Jane Dougherty’s challenge this week was a tritina poem, with the painting above, and the word “parting”.

I like this. It’s airy, sort of patters along like light rain. Could I make a suggestion? When I read it I kept reading ‘anew’ instead of ‘new’. It seemed to sound better. What do you think? Is it just my obsession with rhythm?

Oh, I like how you integrated the painting into your artwork and the poetry. Lovely imagery in words and with the painted and sew piece. Bravo!
