Morning Stars
Today’s Oracle continues on the theme from yesterday. Colleen’s poetry challenge this week included words (hard, soft) I was sure would be in its magnetic word selection, and I was correct. A tanka from the Oracle, with dots. And as a bonus: the alliteration follows the NaPoWriMo prompt.
when darkness lingers
hard as haunted voices hole
in sad broken nights
the soft breath of morning stars
melts the fever with dancing

Beautiful poem, and I like your word dots. Well-done in doing three prompts, too! 🙂

The alliteration was by accident–but I think I tend to do it a lot naturally.
Those news stories do darken my nights…

‘the soft breath of morning stars’ Lovely! Only the fridge oracle seems to provide this kind of imagery 🙂

Thanks Jane. That is so true. It definitely brings out a poetic side to me that isn’t normally available.

It’s because the oracle takes your hand and pulls out the right words 🙂

I see/feel the darkness transforming, lifting and floating away into brighter skies. Wonderfully creative collage expressing your poetic words, Nina. ❤

This is Kerfe, but thanks. We have tags as to who each post belongs to, but I’m not sure it shows all the time.
