derelict s

abandoned to the naked air
the fabric of a life—threadbare–
the walls surrendered all around

the atmosphere is desolate
the inner spirit cast adrift
all hope released without a sound

and who will travel to this land
and who will stop–hold out a hand–
inhabit lost to locate found?

    I just love the sounds in this, and the stitching at the center of the artwork echoes the weaving of sounds in the poem. It feels/looks like a heart stitched back together…
