Reverse the river–
sing me back the rules of time–
chaos as a gift

Is each battle an ending?
or just a rough interlude?

reverse s

A tanka (of sorts) with prompt words from Colleen and the Secret Keeper.  The art is also an “of sorts”–monoprint.  These days I’m just trying things to see what happens.  And then I can photo them in different ways to see what happens too.

seems like i’m caught in a perpetual interlude 😉 awesome painting…been in a conversation with someone recently about the nature of spiral time (as opposed to linear) so that what appears to be returning to where one started is actually a new place, progressing forward…now i’m pondering the collision of two spirals. 😉

Oh Kerfe…. is each battle an ending…? or just an interlude? If only you knew……. this is so poignant and beautiful!

Oh, I like this. I have to think about chaos as a gift. It must be one of those things we need so can appreciate the other side (non-chaos). The last two lines are powerful and I love how the answer is different for everyone. Your art always compliments your words. ❤

The swirling galaxies (coffee filter art?) superbly complement your reverse river tanka. The flow of time… how amazing if we can reverse, fast forward, slow it down.

Thanks Rose. Actually bamboo steamer filter. I was looking for round paper and it showed up and I thought “why not?” Time does seem to have different directions and speeds, but I’m not sure we have any control over it!

So simple, yet so complex. Patterns evolving out of the gift of chaos. Some interludes longer than others depending on one’s own spiral (spiritual) growth in time and space. 🙂
