Conduit
Do you be
lieve the cleansing
power of
white water
the healing silence of black
stone the space that opens?
Seekers of light–
spores suddenly green.
For Sue Vincent’s photo prompt, above. Besides the monoprint with collage, above, I did the monoprint below. At least one other response I’ve seen saw an animal in the green …this one appeared, unplanned.

Seekers of light and healing powers.
I love the words and the art. The top makes me think of a healing quilt placed over the Earth.

I like the transition from light to dark in your collage. It illustrates the space you’ve described, so well.

Thanks Ken. Sue seems to bring out contrasts in her photos (or maybe that’s what I always see…)

Great monoprint.
Did anyone else see Parsley the green lion in the photograph (which was a great photograph by the way)?

Someone did see a lion in their story. I didn’t see it until it showed up in the monoprint (so I guess my subconscious was looking…)

I didn’t see the lion in your print. It’s in the photo but must be just my brain, except someone else mentioned it I think. I really liked your print, devoid of leonine influence.

I skipped past the collage at the top. That is great too.

I like the idea that there is power in “black stone” and “white water”.

After the cleaning drenching we had during our recent visits to the stone circles, this one is particularly apt!
The smiling creature in the river chasing butterflis is just joyous, isn’t he? 🙂

I like how you created your circular collage – I had to look closer as the paper squares almost look like you weaved them into the parchment paper. Very cool affect! 👍 And I like your poem too. 😃
