Weekend fun

While cleaning up my painting area I found these artist trading cards (inspired, like so much, by Claudia McGill). Playing around with them was a lot of fun.

You can’t really take yourself too seriously when the surface you’re painting on is 2.5” x 3.5”. And I love working on black.

My old faithful landscape with blue sky and clouds.

All the cute little cards together:

I highly recommend these cards as a freeing way to paint. I plan to give them to random folks : ).

These are so entrancing. The intense colors and the patterning (if that is a word) just demand my eyes ‘ attention. They’re so complex and read as if they are big paintings. Wow! I think you are a natural at this. And I agree how freeing a tiny space can be. I love that paradox, a little space being wide open.

Fun! They almost remind me of ancient hyroglific paintings

Nina, adorable – I like them all, too! What fun and they do make nice little gifts of creativity. They can also be used as bookmarks!

All of these images are so inspiring, a ATC has all the room needed to get the message across.

The landscape is beautiful, but I’m in love with the chap underneath the cat! I’m seeing a Monkey? Either way, someone said hieroglyphics above and I think that’s definitely what they remind me of. Love them!
