In a faraway galaxy (a long time ago)

galaxy magnetic

I decided to challenge the Magnetic Oracle with a Rhyme Royal as per the dVerse prompt.  I had no idea where I was going to end up with either words or art.  After my word consultation, I arranged some monoprints in my bin in a few different ways and picked the photo of the one I liked best.  It seems I can’t escape what is going on in the world…

A vast blue rhythm haunted by a star
devoured by living in time’s darkest eye
Our home bleeds fire remembering the air
a foolish ghost with windows made of sky
sailing poisoned breath as oceans cry
we listen to the universe decay
and linger broken dying with each day

Wow–the Oracle really does know. This is so sad–poignant perhaps–our poor world.

As much as we’d like to escape, it calls for our attention.

Nice sound in your poem although the theme is somber. I also liked the collage and the method of trust for constructing these not knowing where it was going to end up.

Cosmic poem and I like the way the art seems to escape its bounds!

Brilliant! It’s so hard to give a poem such a tight form using the magnets. It only works of the oracle wishes it.

Oh dear – it sounds very depressing! I hope the oracle has some good cheer to spread next time. 🙂
