steal away
“Away, come away:
Empty your heart of its mortal dream.”
–W.B. Yeats
arise, fly–
follow the soundings–
radiant
gravities
beyond paths already crossed–
openings unkeyed
Going back to Jane Dougherty’s Day Thirteen of her Month with Yeats for this Shadoma November poem that also uses the Secret Keeper’s words as inspiration. And more birdlings.
arise, fly–
follow the soundings–
radiant
gravities
beyond paths already crossed–
openings unkeyed
I’m also linking this to dVerse, poems about animal/human connections–don’t we all want to fly?

What a great idea – I particularly like the penultimate version. Very cool! 🙂

Each picture is a surprise as it unfolds, free at last!

Thanks Sharon. Definitely a surprise…it was not at all what I started to do. But often our subconscious knows better…

I think this is one of my favorite things you’ve done. The birdlings are hope spreading its wings.

This is gorgeous. The art and the word-painting. And, yes, I would love to be free to fly. To soar.

This is the first shadorma I’ve seen on this prompt, Kerfe. I love the artwork too. I like that you are invoking birds to arise and fly – setting them free. I also love the ‘…soundings–
radiant
gravities
beyond paths already crossed’.

Thanks Kim. I’ve always felt an affinity with the shadorma form, so Shadorma November is working well with all the prompts I do. And the birdlings keep appearing in my art from time to time, but they do need their freedom…
