    Interesting coincidence. I was just watching a documentary on the experience of a few survivors of 9/11. Their reflection on coming out of the tower was being overwhelmed by the feathers of ash falling.

    I really like this, Kerfe. “the sounds of feathers and wings” is stunning and beautiful.
    I do remember how still it was and that beautiful blue sky. (Maybe we’ll get to see a beautiful blue September sky sometime mid-week.)

    Your haiku reminds me of how quiet it was the next day after 9/11. We were supposed to fly to Reno and ended up going to the lake. No planes in the sky, it was so strange. Your art is beautiful too! 💚
