Removing the Obstacles
Inspired by Claudia McGill’s post about revisiting her snippets, I visited the Collage Box Oracle for this response to the Myths of the Mirror February prompt, below.
As with the Magnetic Poetry Oracle, you can have your own ideas, but in the end you need to follow where the word box leads.
Close your eyes and count–
a circumnavigation
out the window and
between the lines to beyond…
dream what’s inside…come to life

Ahhh…this is wonderful. The words and you did it together. Fantastic.

Thanks Ken. It took me awhile to figure out what to do with the prompt. Claudia inspired me to pull out the collage box, and it was just the right thing.

Wow!! This is fabulous! How long did it take you to cut out the words?! 👍

Thanks Jill. I have a box full of words and phrases that I’ve cut out over a period of years. What takes a long time is finding the right ones.

That is a good idea to cut them out so you have them ready when you need them. 😊

More circles and dreams–it does seem related to the Oracle.

The collage box was insistent on the word “circumnavigation”. It has definitely been talking to the Oracle.

What fun, Kerfe. I love where this led you – right into the dream beyond. Your imagination is full of magic.

Thanks Diana. Give me an image and some scissors and glue and who knows where it will lead?

And if you can get a baby elephant to come along and help, all the better. I love this dream within a dream.

Thanks Jane. I’ve missed doing these. I did some great ones for your painting prompts back in the day.

I’d like to get those prompts going again, but it’s the follow up that eats up the time. Maybe I could try it using a Mr Linky.

The part between the lines is often the best part of the story. This is a wonderful response to the prompt. Hugs.

Thanks. When I do collages like this I start out with a vague idea and the images and words lead me to the end. I like the surprise.

I love the way Kerfe takes up prompts with both artwork and words. I hope you enjoy the fascinating combination. 🙂 Happy Sunday!
