Lucky 5-7-5

lucky s wht

dealing out the cards–fate
drawn like caution thrown to wind–
wild, blind–flying free

I really tried to do a list poem for the NaPoWriMo prompt.  I like the idea.  But after several hours, this is the result.

Sometimes the poem just wants to be different than we intended. I like it when that happens. 🙂 It always feels like a surprise. 🙂

The list is maybe in the bits and pieces flying free. I hate lists.

I actually like them even if I don’t follow them most of the time. This is perhaps closer to the reality of them for me.

For the shopping, I make a list and don’t even take it out of my pocket until we get to the checkout when it’s too late. Husband makes a list and actually sticks to it. He even crosses out the things he’s picked up. He has lists that go back to two houses ago of things to do/repair. Things that never got done, but he still has the list. Just in case we find a Tardis and go back in time, I suppose.
