Draw a Bird Day: sheltered by shadows
jeweled feathers caught
in reflected mist—cloistered
chiaroscuro
This is another brightly colored resident of the South American cloud forest, the grey-breasted mountain toucan. As with all inhabitants of the world’s cloud forests, they are a threatened species because of habitat loss.
Drawn with neocolors.

How pretty and what soothing artwork. It’s a shame that such beauty is threatened.

Thanks Diana. The cloud forest looks like a magical place. Of course we do seem to be unable to consider the consequences of destroying the environment everywhere.

Thank you for sharing your… beautiful Toucan. The tentacles of the humans are far reaching all over our planet.
