moonflower
In honor of this month’s May flower full moon, the Oracle gave me a lai nouveau. I know dVerse has moved on to the ghazal already, but I’m not ready yet for June which is still a full week away.
the moon a flower
cloud air and water
gentle
wild gardens wander
secrets uncover
cycle
we follow after
blossoming color
shine over summer
spring fall and winter
fertile
beneath blue murmur
listen as nature’s
soul fills
cloud air and water
the moon a flower
May is my favorite month…I’ll squint my eyes at the full moon and see the moon flower. Beautiful painting.

Even the moon tells us to hold on to the beauty of spring. Summer comes soon enough.

moon flower can only come from the Oracle. This is one of the best lai offerings I’ve read.

Thanks Jane. She seems to have an affinity for the form.

This is lovely, Kerfe. Moon flower makes me sigh. Jane is right that it can only come from the Oracle.

Thanks Jill. I feel the same way about the moon at the beach. It’s closer somehow.

Beautiful, Kerfe. I love the gentle murmur of the rhyme. Both poem and artwork are lovely.
