July is here
July is here and I’ve been painting rocks for a few months now. I am spending entirely too much time on them but they are becoming more painterly. I’m still stuck on the mandala ones which are highly imperfect.
These two are more stream of consciousness and just following the rock shape.
I keep doing these because they’re fun and relaxing.
I hope everyone has a good July Fourth.
Stay creative!
Nina
I’m partial to the mandalas. They’re so pretty and creative. My garden needs some of these. 😀 Thanks for the smile.

Awww, that is so sweet of you! I’ll take you up on it if you live in the US, otherwise it will cost a fortune. 🙂

I love this, and can agree, it is very soothing and relaxing; it reminds me of one summer a decade ago, where I took this idea and turned it into passtime for my two nephews. I think there is still a couple of the rocks we painted still around the summerhouse, as decoration.

I went back and looked at your sticks. I have a curlique stick that I think I’m going to make into a snake today. Whatever the reason for the rocks I’m just going with it. It is helping me in some way to get out of the block I’ve been in. Thanks Claudia. Enjoy the holiday weekend and stay safe. N.

That would so great to see a painted snake. And I guarantee you, once you start painting sticks, you will be on the lookout for new subjects, and I think that makes walking outside even more fun when you have that idea in mind. I would think you already might do this for suitable rocks, too? (I know I have been paying more attention to them myself because of you).
