For Sue Vincent’s photo prompt, above, in the Badger’s Hexastitch form for Colleen’s #TankaTuesday poet’s choice. I’ve decided to try a new syllabic form each month.
Happy to have Sue’s photos back as inspiration!

I love that picture and the poem. That form functions beautifully here and echoes the symmetry and wholeness of the picture.

Stunning, as always, Kerfe. I think we were all thirsty for a return of Sue’s prompts.

Kerfe, I love the colors in the photo and how you recreated the image with your painting- embracing the shadow self. The oracle has guided you once again! I also like the Badger Hexastitch. It has a nice rhythm to it. β€

Thanks Colleen. It does have a nice rhythm. I like the conciseness required by the shorter form.

I agree. Those shorter forms always intrigue me.

I missed this one. That’s an intriguing form and your image even looks like a badger!

Thanks Jane. It is a good form I think. In between cinquain and shadorma. Badgers always make me think of “Wind in the Willows”. (K)
