Weekend work 1/25/21
My husband called this “two vortices” but vortices are water. These are meant as tornados.
This is a couple of layers which I’ve been doing lately. The tornado on the right is cut out and pasted. I really can’t explain this painting or where it came from but it was fun and I learned you can never put enough whirling marks in different colors on a tornado.
Have a good week! Nina
I would not have said this was a tomato, Nina, but it is very pretty and striking.

looks like some kind of alchemy…I like the blue-green in the background. (K)

I grew up in Tennessee. Tornadoes were common in spring. We even had drills in school for how to shelter. One year one came through our neighborhood and destroyed houses. Not ours thank goodness. It happened at night. We never saw it. Your rendition captures the feeling of a tornado. The acceleration of wind you’ve showed visually. Scary! And beautiful.

My first thought was legs. The right leg is wearing a garter…

Beautiful. I’m leaning a bit on your husband’s take.
Looks like there’s reflection and the underwater solitude and depth.
