Blizzard of 2021 and a painting
Painting I finished this weekend. I like it.
This is a big one here in Northern NJ. Right now it’s still coming down heavily. We got the day off: my husband is doing telemedicine from the dining room table. Daughter printed the NYTimes Monday puzzle (only day I can finish it).
I have another painting started: another circle with drips. So all is well in my world aside from the fact that this snow will be impossible to shovel. Have a great week! Nina
Wow, Nina – that is some proper snow you’ve got there! So far here in Whitstable, UK – a few flakes and lots of rain. I know snow is a pest, but I’d like to run about in that lot for a while – at least until my socks got wet!

My husband just told me they’re predicting up to 20 inches. Most we’ve had in quite a while!

I really like your painting! Your storm reminds me of the one we had two years ago. It was a terrible whopper for the Puget Sound region which includes Seattle, WA. We missed our flight to Florida to visit family because we couldn’t make it to the airport and the tickets were non-refundable. Then we couldn’t go last year because of Covid and it looks like it’ll be the same this year. I just hope everyone we miss can stay safe until we get the chance to hug them again.

We also have a United Airlines credit: we had a trip planned for March 2020. Still snowing here with quite a lot on the ground.

That is an awesome painting; perfect contrast to the white of life right now. Here in southern Wisconsin we’ve gotten off light with only about half a foot (on top of the other half that fell this time last week) but ugh, the shoveling… I definitely take it in stages. Be good to your back!

I tried shoveling a path for the dog but gave up. Still coming down at 10:30 PM.

Gorgeous, Nina! It feels like Twilight Zone and the Time Tunnel meet up. Love the woman standing in the pink square doing the energy exchange with the sky ❤

Super wow on the painting. I LOVE it. We’re getting that snow too but not as much. Maybe 8 inches they say. Well I’ll be shoveling!

We have a lot here, more than in years. Someone just offered to buy the painting (friend on Facebook).

Well, I have to tell you, I am not surprised at all. About the painting, I mean, not the snow, though we are the same, it has been years since we had this much. Back to the painting, it is just exquisite. I really love the direction you are going with these lteast artworks. It is as if your mandala rock images have burst into fireworks for me (this is a good thing, it sort of sounds odd) and are sending out light. Just beautiful.

Thank you Claudia. I really like this one a lot. Somehow working within a circle makes sense to me.
The snow was massive here, just got back to work after five days of being snowed in!!

I sort of miss having snow, Nina. But I don’t miss shoveling it! Beautiful painting. A perfect way to spend a day inside. 🙂
