Weekend work 2/8/2021

Another mini snowstorm yesterday but it stopped snowing later in the day. I’ve been working on this one for a week and not sure it’s done. It looks like two paintings spliced together.

It’s a beautiful day here and maybe some of the three feet of snow will start to melt. Have a great week everyone! Nina

This is an interesting picture, Nina, it does have two distinct components. I hope your weather improves. Snow sounds like fun but only for a while.

It’s kind of mesmerizing, Nina, and very dreamlike. And yes please to the melting snow… The piles on either side of our driveway are taller than I am!

I feel it’s an image from a myth, and has symbolism that I can almost decipher, as if I were in a dream. A colorful vibrant dream. Wow.

I have been having some crazy dreams lately. I thought of that as I was painting this. Thanks. N.

Then I picked up on that aspect, it seems, that of the dream. I think this is just fantastic work. I’ve always loved readingand learning about myths and legends, since I was young, and this piece just keeps drawing me back because it seems to have stories in it. Plus it is beautiful.

I like the animal theme. It’s like a magical forest clearing. (K)

From a distance it looks like the inside of a heart. Close up it looks like a dreamscape. Very cool.
