Couple of different views

These paintings don’t photograph well. The colors don’t seem right (maybe I mess with the editing too much). I wanted to show a couple of views/closeups.

It’s hard to see the little slips of writing from the paper Kerfe gave me.

One of the patients in out practice is the son of painter Will Barnet; he is a painter in his own right named Peter Barnet. We talk art a lot and he is coming in this week for a visit. I asked him if I could show him these paintings I’ve done on the black paper. No one has seen these in person except for the two I’ve given away.

A better view of the other one from yesterday. A beautiful day here in New Jersey.

I think the photographs are good, Nina. In my opinion, my cakes never come out as well in photographs either, but other people don’t notice it at all.

Awesome work! I always have trouble photographing anything with a black background, not sure why that is! I really like your marks and designs, very unique, great colors!

I like to paint on black gesso so I get the black paper’s appeal!

I also think these show up very well; I get all the textures and they’re wonderful. I looked up Peter Barnet and his art is full of color and energy; I think he’ll love these! Enjoy your visit. 🙂

Not having seen the originals, I think these pics are good. You mention Kerfe’s words – are they poems?
