July 2021 with blue door
let yourself be
enchanted with each moment
as it appears
July makes me long for the ocean, so my grid is composed of ocean doors. But I also found a blue house door into the garden level of a brownstone that makes me think its owners are reminding themselves too every day of the sea.

Thanks M. I love the ocean. The grid is made from rectangles I cut from old surfing magazines. A great source for collage that involves water and/or sky (and always available on eBay)

had to revisit this – a lovely image and pen. was clear enough today, for a bit, to see the Farallon Islands, beneath a high cloud cover with holes that let through light that scintillated reflections toward shore.

I love that color of blue. Your collage makes me think of ocean montages in movies. I think your poem distills an important secret. I finally got to see my grandbaby again last night and each moment of the visit was so precious β€

Thanks Jade. I’m so glad you’re getting to spend time with your grandchild! Precious, indeed.

I love your grid–those blues are so beautiful and serene. I can feel the sea breeze! Lovely blue door, too.

Brilliant ocean colour scenes (which is the name of the band, I know. Their “Up on the Downside” is one of my favourite tunes.)

Kerfe, this is utterly fantastic. I pretty much never purchase art (not particularly wealthy or cultured) but this is something I would be proud to show people if it were hanging on my wall. It’s so beautiful.
