Weekend Work 5/23/2022

This biblical phrase came via a gift of handmade paper sent by Kerfe. The piece is done on that paper which was not flat and had to be dampened with water and pressed with a board and rocks; I had to do this several times as the paper’s instinct was to curl up.
I kept that little slip of paper with these words and did this piece for myself. I am an anxious person: it’s in my DNA. Through my husband’s ordeal I could feel the ball of anxiety in my gut. He is home now, feeling better and bearing the scars of surgery. But I must not be anxious.

Posted this one in progress. It’s done now and added to the collection.
Have a good week! Nina
…we’re all glad to hear you’re both back together again, and both healing each in your own way

I told my husband last night that the anxiety is lessened greatly by having him home.
And healing in our own ways, I like that.

That’s a great grid Nina. The bottom one looks like portals. (K)

It’s actually one of my favorites. Looks better in person.

Your grid reminds me of books on a book shelf.
Glad to hear your husband is home, Nina.

Have to say I really like this one. The paper was hard to work on but worth it.

Hugs to you! I am also an anxious person. How can we be less anxious when there is always *something* that occurs that gives us new struggles to concern ourselves with? My mom just went in for a regular appointment only to come out needing to schedule a surgery. It is the second unpleasant medical surprise since waking up this morning.

HI Nina, I am so sorry you have gone through all this anxiety. I am also an anxious person so I can relate.

Hi Nina, sorry to hear your husband had to have surgery but glad that he is home now. Surgery is stressful for everyone. I do a lot of walking that helps me with anxiety. And getting fresh air when the weather allows. I hope you both will be feeling better soon. ❤️ Sending hugs
