Weekend/W.I.P./11/6/2022

Beautiful day here in Northern New Jersey. I’m posting two which I’m not sure are finished. This second one:

sprung from one that never felt finished-this:

Since I’m only doing this for fun and for my own entertainment I like to cut stuff up, repaint, what do I care? No one is telling me what to do and that, for me, is the freedom of painting.

Have a good week! Nina

They feel otherworldly or maybe showing our world in otherworldly times? I can’t help but see things in them. In the first one I see a yellow caterpillar with a cosmos head. The second I named ‘Rona Rise, it looks like a giant coronavirus rising over the city and reporters are taking pictures of it. That last one feels like a cell under a microscope. Very cool art, Nina.

correction make that an orange caterpillar. I could have sworn it was yellow the first time I looked at it!

You amuse me (meaning in the nicest way, creative I mean). I kinda see the evolution of 3 into 2. Both intriguing. (PS) I never minded comments from others about my work (even asked sometimes). However they had to be ready to be appreciated but ignored – my work, my choices. As it is (good) for you Nina.
