Picture Yourself (Thursday Doors Writing Challenge)
Alone with creation
my mind processes the color the form the medium–
I do not include any part of the world outside of
the tentative frame
Do I enter?
sometimes maybe always—but I do not always find
what I seek on the speculative journeys my mind takes
looking for essence
Perhaps vision is
only an accident, a chance intersection with the singing
portal–the one that exists inside the current of
the cosmic chord
I wanted to squeeze in one final entry to the Thursday Doors Writing Challenge–I could not resist the door above provided by Resa which immediately sang to me.

Resa always finds the coolest things, and that door is amazing.
I like the inner/cosmic journey you take with it.

Thanks Merril. It is amazing indeed. As soon as I saw it I thought of “Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds” and the poem came out of that.

You selected a wonderful door, which goes well with your words. And the video fits well, too. To me, the combination is about the abstract world. Bottom line – I like it! Hope all is well with you.

That is a vision of a door that will stick with me. And I will add, when I come here, the visions you provide are never a chance intersection, rather a well plotted course.

Thanks Violet. It’s an incredible door. I’m not a planner at all–not in art, not in life. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t.

What a door! I love the energy of the colors. It makes me think of choosing the red pill or the blue pill. What will you find behind that door? Excellent poetry and art, Kerfe.

“Perhaps vision is only an accident…”
That notion is compelling. It makes me wonder about our senses.
You did a great job with this door, Kerfe.

As usual, I need three or four readings to even begin to respond within myself, let alone in actual words. That search for essence and the ambiguity in the feelings you summon are matched well. To articulate that seeking is to need concepts like that cosmic chord with its singing portal. Thanks again for making me think.

Wow, that’s quite a door! I love how you put its colors into spheres and how you open that door with your poem.

The Doors Challenge is on of the best. It is something for everyone. I don’t have time, but once a year I enjoy the Annual Challenge.
Thanks about my door pics, Kerfe!
Lol… I have one doors post in me once a year.
