My daughter’s elementary school always celebrated National Poetry Month in a big way.  I came across this bookmark yesterday and thought it an appropriate sentiment for those of us looking forward to April for many reasons (including the poetry, of course!).

Stitching My Children’s Art

 

I usually make gifts for my family at Christmas.  I finished this year’s work this weekend.

When the girls were little, one year I took their cat drawings and stitched them with felt applique.  I’ve done a few other pieces of their artwork too, and somewhere in that packed-to-the-brim storage room is an entire portfolio I saved for stitching.  At least I think it’s there…
