clouds increase, decrease–
signs of change thickening–
sky moving higher
Today the prompt for NaPoWriMo was to open a reference book to a random page and make a poem from what you found there. I chose to do a blackout poem from the page I opened in my Encyclopedia of Superstitions which was the one that included “clouds”.
We have a clear blue sky here in NYC though. I will enjoy running my errands today!
the cloisters of clouds–
securing figments that reflect
tomorrow’s revolving always–
reformulated problems of light
that pirouette–changelings shifting the sun
An etheree for Colleen’s #tanka Tuesday with synonyms for haunt and spell.
Question the dragon
swimming in air waves. Enter
sky light from inside
out. No two travelers meet
with similar seas.
I consulted the Collage Box Oracle this week for Sue Vincent’s photo prompt, above.
Clouds are always a rich source of imagery.
The dragon jumped out at me right away.
And the Stairway to Heaven, too. It makes me wonder, for sure.
The Magnetic Poetry Oracle is in a different mood today.
as ferocious angels
remember their sky voices
laughing breezes dance in secret
and rhythmic color surrounds
the universal fool
What to do between the silent secrets of stars?
Open the question at the crossroads of memory and your dreams.
Chase clouds of deep light.
Learn how to become a traveler in the unexplainable.
(in any order…)
For Jane Dougherty’s Sunday Strange Microfiction prompt, above.
It’s supposed to snow again tonight (it’s just too tempting to say “April Fool!”), so I’m going to think thoughts of warmer weather. This collage was inspired by a watercolor done by Create Art Everyday that was titled “Spring Storm” (http://createarteveryday.com/2015/03/28/spring-storm/).
My collage leans more towards summer than spring, but it’s definitely looking forward to a change in the seasons…hello, spring?
